Mean Girls wins Best New Musical at UK WhatsOnStage Awards

Last night saw the 25th Annual WhatsOnstage Awards take place at the illustrious London Palladium in the West End, and Crossroads Live were excited to have nominations across a number of categories, including TWO nominations for Best New Musical for Mean Girls (co-produced with Sonia Friedman and Lorne Michaels) and Babies.

Other nominations for Crossroads Live productions included, Georgina Castle for Mean Girls and Imelda Staunton for Hello, Dolly! (co-produced with Michael Harrison) for Best Performer in a Musical, and Grace Mouat for Mean Girls for Best Supporting Performer in a Musical.

JamesLane and Ed McGovern were delighted to attend with some of the creative team of Babies, Jack Godfrey and Martha Geelan, who wrote the book, music and lyrics and Jo Beighton who looked after orchestrations & vocal arrangement.

The WhatsOnStage Awards are the only major UK theatre awards decided by the theatregoers themselves so huge congratulations to Mean Girls who took home the trophy for Best New Musical and Imelda Staunton for Hello, Dolly! for Best Performer in a Musical.
