The Stage 100 reflects the 100 most influential people working in the theatre and performing arts industry in the UK, and following a phenomenal panto season, and with plenty more exciting productions on the horizon Michael Harrison and David Ian continue to bring theatrical magic to audiences at Crossroads Pantomimes and Crossroads Live.
9. David Ian and Michael Harrison, Crossroads Live/Michael Harrison Entertainment
New entry (as joint listing)
Ian and Harrison, both successful commercial producers in their own right and sometime producing partners, officially joined up in 2021 when Qdos Pantomimes was acquired by Crossroads Live (which had acquired David Ian Productions in 2019). After two pandemic-wrought Christmases, 2022 must have felt like a return to normality for Crossroads, the UK’s largest panto producer with 24 shows, including the flagship Palladium panto starring Dawn French, Alexandra Burke and Julian Clary. Harrison and Ian also produced The Drifters Girl in the West End, which tours this year, as does their co-production of The Bodyguard. Ian’s Crossroads Live also co-produced Bartlett Sher’s My Fair Lady at the London Coliseum, while Harrison entered into a producing partnership with Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Productions include: The Drifters Girl, Jack and the Beanstalk (London Palladium).
Coming up in 2023 so far: The Drifters Girl (UK tour), The Bodyguard (UK tour), 42nd Street (UK tour), Annie (UK tour)
