Melanie was first introduced to touring Broadway as a kid when her parents brought her to see Phantom of the Opera at the Broward Center.
She knew then that somehow, someway, she would be a part of this thing. She started producing untitled original works in her garage and, as soon as she was able, she volunteered to usher at the Broward Center so she could see as many shows as possible. Her parents were hoping it was a phase, but she went on to get her BA in Theatre and Creative Writing at Florida State University and then pursued her dream of working in the Arts.
After a decade+ of working in the industry (The Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall, The Booking Group, and on the Programming team at Broadway Across America) and having the privilege of seeing hundreds of shows, Melanie still remembers how special it felt to have the rare opportunity to sit in a seat. She believes deeply in the importance of the road and feels so lucky to be a part of bringing live theater into communities across North America (and beyond).
Melanie has spent the last three years at CXLNA in various operational roles and is now thrilled to be a part of the General Management team.
Melanie currently has two kids under 5. When she is not at work, she can be found building Legos, wandering playgrounds, and breaking the world record of watching Cars.
